TSAM New York 2026: Trusted Data, Practical AI, and the Next Chapter of Investment Operations

At TSAM New York, the conversation across investment operations, technology, data, and strategy kept returning to a shared challenge: asset managers need to support growth and complexity without adding the same level of manual work. The agenda reflected a shift toward practical questions about which operating models can scale, where AI delivers measurable value, and what it takes to put trusted data to work.

AI has to work in production

AI was a prominent theme, but the focus was on its use in day-to-day operations. Sessions explored applications across reconciliation, reporting, compliance, and client service, alongside the reasons promising pilots can stall before deployment. The question for firms is increasingly specific: can an AI workflow produce reliable results, fit existing processes, and give teams appropriate oversight?

Data quality is an operational requirement

As firms connect more systems and automate more decisions, fragmented or inconsistent data becomes harder to work around. Discussions throughout the event addressed data quality, governance, and interoperability as foundations for effective automation. For private markets in particular, getting accurate information out of documents and into the systems teams rely on remains a critical step.

Private credit needs infrastructure that can scale

Alkymi’s Matt DeLoca, VP of Sales, joined Daniel Jacobson of Fiera Capital, Mei-Li da Silva Vint of Brevet Capital, and Sean Coleman of Eyre Street Capital for “Private Credit: The Operational Readiness Gap.” The session examined the pressure created when growth in private credit meets complex servicing requirements. It considered what mature operations require across covenants, cash, valuation, data, and reporting, and how managers can build processes and infrastructure suited to a fast-growing asset class whose workflows remain fragmented.

The broader takeaway from TSAM New York is that scale depends reliable data, connected workflows, clear ownership, and systems that can adapt as investment strategies evolve. At Alkymi, we’re focused on that foundation, turning complex private markets documents into accurate, usable data that supports more efficient operations.

Thank you to everyone who connected with our team in New York.
